About anagrams & word jumbles
Anagram puzzles ask children to rearrange the letters to find a word. They're a classic vocabulary and spelling exercise — useful as starters, plenaries, early-finisher work, and for topic-vocabulary revision.
Difficulty levels explained
- Easy: only adjacent letters swap. Result still looks word-like.
- Standard: full random shuffle but ensures the result is different from the original.
- Hard: aggressive shuffling so consecutive letter pairs from the original are unlikely to remain.
How to use
Paste your topic vocabulary, common exception words, or spelling list. Decide whether to show the answer words (a "word bank") at the bottom — useful as a hint or to make it less guessable. Print and go.
