How to do it

- Add a small amount of water to help it bind — it should hold a shape without sticking.
- Add a pinch of seeds (wildflower mixes work well) to the mix.
- Roll into balls about the size of a large marble.
- Leave to dry in a cool place for 24-48 hours.
- Plant by pressing into soil, or leave for dry weather to throw into bare ground.
💡 Tips
Use native wildflower seeds — they attract pollinators and are suited to local conditions. This makes a lovely take-home gift and links to science units on plants, habitats, and ecosystems.
